Queen of Cotton: Suvin Cotton

Queen of Cotton: Suvin Cotton

To design the 100Y-Tshirt,
Suvin cotton fabric was used.

When deciding on the fabric for this project,
our production team visited Tamil Nadu, a southern state in India.

This region has long been known for producing high-quality cotton, but Suvin cotton is truly special among them.

Of all the cotton produced worldwide,
Suvin cotton accounts for
a mere 0.05 percent.

The main reason this material is called the "Queen of Cotton"
lies in the exceptional fineness of its fibers.

At just 2.9 microns,
these fibers are much finer than those of typical high-grade cotton,
and their extreme length allows them to retain a rich amount of natural oils.

The fineness of the fibers means that
when making a single thread,
more fibers can be bundled together.

This ensures sufficient strength without the need for excessive twisting of the yarn.

This is the secret behind the 100Y-Tshirt's
"moist texture" and "silk-like luster."

For the 100Y-Tshirt, we deliberately knitted this delicate yarn at a high density,
resulting in a substantial fabric weighing 8.3 ounces.

Typically, a fabric this thick tends to be stiff,
but Suvin cotton is different.

Despite its substantial feel,
it offers a meltingly soft sensation the moment it touches the skin.

This contrasting sensation
smooths the contours of the wearer's body
and gently straightens their posture.

Picked one tuft at a time by hand, avoiding machine heat, the cotton maintains its purity, becoming a garment.

It will become more comfortable with each wash,
and with its enduring luster,
it will continue to accompany you through time.

This is the kind of clothing we've created.
